One of the events hosted by Gibson among several others was the “SXSW 2017 Style Kickoff Party Presented by Gibson.” Gibson Brands partnered with Neiman Marcus to bring the "New Style of Sound" Fashion show to Texas on March 11th at the Vaughn in Austin. This event was the official kick-off for SXSW style track and featured performances from The Shelters, Midland, Emily Wolfe, Band of the Heathens, and Erika Wennerstrom. The Style party was one of the official parties hosted by SXSW that opened to Film, Interactive, Music, and Platinum badge holders. Gibson Brands created one of the hottest events ever to kick off SXSW with the "New Style of Sound" on the rooftop of downtown Austin's The Vaughn that hosts private events located in the heart of the historic Warehouse District in Downtown Austin, a gorgeous and urban venue.
The high-energy runway event paired innovative products from Gibson Brands, including Gibson guitars and headphones from Onkyo and Philips Audio Lifestyle, with the latest and fresh spring styles from Neiman Marcus all backed by beats from DJ Wade Crescent and a live performance from Erika Wennerstrom (Heartless Bastards). The exclusive and trendy evening featured live sets from buzzworthy artists following the fashion show where the models danced, played, and sparkled with the harmony of the most astounding beats. The energy of the rooftop was blissful despite the rain that fell during the evening. The party goers enjoyed the twilight with music and the most gorgeous people in the city of Austin, Texas.
