Evans Brewing Co. - Father's Day and Everyday at The Public House

Father's Day is one of the most special days of the year and celebrating dad at The Public House by Evans Brewing Co. will make for a fabulous day. After one visit to the Public House you will quickly realize that this beautiful setting makes every visit and everyday special.

Evans Bottles

Evans Brewing Co. can brew up some fabulous beer; there is no question about that, but they don't stop there. The Public House showcases the many flavors of Evans, but they also put together some mean cocktails and create some of the best bar food you will ever taste. Using the term "bar food" does not do the food justice, if you just want to come in for lunch or dinner and forget about the beer you will leave more than satisfied.

Evans on Tap

The Public House really is everything to everyone. They manage to get it all right but when it comes to the beer, you can view this as one iconic tasting room. There are so many beers on tap that you are going to have to make a return visit or buy a few of the extremely cool bottles that Evans beer comes in. The flagship beer of Evans Brewing co. would have to bee the Pollen Nation. This honey blonde ale is light and refreshing with just a hint of sweetness with the addition of the locally sourced orange blossom honey. This beer is perfect to drink on the back patio of The Public House while enjoying a sunny Southern California afternoon.

Beer Flight

"Stout at the Devil" is a Russian Imperial Stout that goes far beyond the typical stout with a singular note, this beer created by Kevin Hammonds, Director of Brewing at Evans, brings together five malts, with hints of chocolate, coffee and dark fruit. While giving that rich stout flavor and 9% alcohol, it is one of those special beers that transcend that wide assortment of flavors as it crosses your taste buds. Evans also did a little twist to this stout and created "Orange & Chocolate Stout at the Devil" by adding orange zest and cacao nibs. The orange and chocolate complement each other beautifully in this beer and as the case with every Evans beer, they give you great flavors without being overbearing. Finally the Chocolatte (Nitro) is a true delicacy, a chocolate porter with cacao nibs and coffee, this beer is rich and creamy and so smooth to drink, a truly addicting beer. Evans has a wide range of beers and you can't go wrong with any of them, but if you love stouts, you will be in heaven here.

Hefewiezer with Brown Mich

The Public House got creative with their mixology program, taking advantage of their beers to create some fantastic beer cocktails in addition to wide-ranging cocktail menu that takes you from classic, to seasonal and anywhere in between. The "Dandy Shandy" is a well balanced cocktail that centers around the Pollen Nation beer and combines it with Aylesbury Vodka then gives it a fruity flavor with muddled berries and lemon juice. Looking to the classics, not only do they do an Old Fashioned, they love the cocktail so much they decided to do five of them. You have to start off with the perfect crafted classic "Wisconsin Old Fashioned". Made in a very old school manner, this version is just smooth and as good as it gets. Then to give the classic a twist, The Public House has versions with; Mezcal, Gin, Rum and Buffalo Trace Bourbon. Whether it is a beer, a cocktail or a tasty combination of the two, this bar pours a great drink.

Flatbread Pizza with an Evans Beer

The food at The Public House comes out of a tiny kitchen that is located right next to the bar, but don't let appearances fool you. This tiny kitchen produces big flavors. Focusing on fresh and local ingredients, you are going to love everything that you try all the way down to the flavorful condiments.

The Hot Mess

The Evans Signature Pub Burger is as good as it gets when it comes to burger. This burger is a blended patty of ribeye and pastrami to give you a rich and elevated burger experience. Pair this with the Joaquin Dead red ale and you will be quite happy. Other favorites include; wild caught salmon, flat iron Black Angus steak that comes with a chimichurri sauce and you can choose from an assortment of brick oven flatbreads. And to give you even more beer flavor, there are always fresh sausages and bratwursts that are always changing based on the flavor of beer that they are infusing into the sausage. If you like a little heat with your burger, right now The Public House is serving the "Hot Mess". Not overly spicy, but you will feel the heat at the end and you are going to love the hamburger topped with a porter infused sausage and then finished off with siracha fried onions.

The success of The Public House has propelled Evans Brewing Co. to open a second location in Huntington Beach, which is expected to open in July of 2017. In addition, they have also launched a food truck named Burgers, Brats and Tater Tots (BB&TT).

Celebrate Father’s Day on June 18th with a fabulous brunch for the entire family and The Public House will treat dad to a free Evans pint glass. There are plenty of reasons for dad or anyone else to come back often to The Public House. From live bands, djs, happy hour or creative beer nights michelada night that incorporated a number of great Evans beers into these tasty cocktails.

Fullerton might not be the first city you think of when you say beer, but Evans Brewing Co. is certainly doing their best to change it. While Southern California is home to some of the best breweries in the United States, you are going to be hard pressed to find one that brings all three ingredients together like The Public House. Beer, cocktails and food all simply done to perfect and you can add in a beautiful setting and just a great time and if that is what you are looking for, well then this is the place for you.
