Susie McMonagle, Heidi Kettenring and Christine Sherrill gave stellar performances on Valentine’s Day evening at the Northlight Theatre in Skokie, just north of Chicago. These celebrated women of song have graced countless stages in Chicago, on Broadway, and around the country. Now performing together for the very first time, this trio of chanteuses explored the romantic side of music in a Valentine’s Day cabaret concert showcasing their musical passion and powerful pipes! All three performers are featured in Northlight’s 2011-12 Season.

Susie McMonagle is currently in Black Pearl Sings, now playing at the the Northlight Theater until Feb. 18th. She has also played on Broadway: Fantine in Les Miserables, toured with First National tours: Billy Elliot (Mrs. Wilkinson and Mum). Regional credits include: Rock n Roll (Candida) at the Goodman Theater, Man of La Mancha (M. Bane) at the Court Theater, Sideshow (Daisy) and At Wits End (Jane Grant) at Northlight Theatre. Chicago credits: Indian Ink (Flora), Dirty Blonde (Mae), Spitfire Grill (Shelby), Annie Get Your Gun (Annie), Miss Saigon (Ellen), Anything Goes (Reno), Cats (Grizabella), Evita (Eva Peron) and Chess (Florence). Her redition of "Some Enchanted Evening" (my mother's favorite song) combined enough modern techniques to make it interesting but still portrayed the essence of the song.
Heidi Kettenring appeared earlier in the season in Season’s Gretings. She is, perhaps, best known for her three year stay as Nessarose in Chicago’s production of the Broadway musical Wicked. Other Chicagoland credits include work with Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace, Chicago Shakepeare Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Writers’ Theatre, Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, Court Theatre, Drury Lane Evergreen Park, Theatre At The Center, and American Theatre Company.
Christine Sherrill will be performing in the upcoming show at Northlight Theater. She has performed nationally with the tour of Mamma Mia! (Tanya). Regionally, she was most recently seen in Million Dollar Quartet here in Chicago where she played Dyanne and the Goodman Theatre's A Christmas Carol (Mrs. Cratchit). Her performance of Adelaide's Lament (When a Girl is Waiting, She Develops a Cold)from Guys and Dolls followed by a beautiful "Something Wonderful" from the King and I showed her wide range of emotional expression.
